The meteoric rise to fame achieved by this duo in the last two and half dcades may have been equalled by very few and surpassed by fewer. Aradhana Bhatt spoke to legendary singer of Gujarati Ghazal and Bollywood playback singer, Manhar Udhas on the occassion of the release of his 25th Gujarati Ghazal album "Aabhaar". Manharji discusses his Bollywood singing career and his experiences in the music industry. He is optimistic about the future of Gujarati Ghazal and attributes his success (since the release of his first album Preet Na Shamana in 1970) to the discerning Gujarati audiences. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Homage to Gen Manekshaw: By Purviz Kolsawalla - India lost one of her most valiant and decorated military men on 27th June 2008 at the age of 94.  Gen. Field Marshall Manekshaw, a Parsee, originally from Gujarat, played a pivotal role in giving birth to a new nation, Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) after India won the war against Pakistan in 1971, in which Gen Manekshaw led the Indian forces with might,courage and strategic planning. Aradhana spoke to Purviz Kolsawalla, a leader of the Parsee community of Sydney and an experienced teacher at TAFE college, about Gen Manekshaw.

She was awarded the prestigious singing laurel  at Mumbai, in the presence of Amitabh Bachchan after a stiff competition with many young talents from all over India. Dr. Bhuvan Unhelkar: (B.A, M.D.B.A, M.Sc, Ph.D) Bhuvan is a trained IT expert and an academic with a teaching track record at universities in Sydney spanning nearly two decades. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society. A writer of more than ten books in his field, Bhuvan has the innate sense of a successful businessman. He runs an international consultancy service called Methodscience.com. In this interview with Aradhana Bhatt Bhuvan has discussed the Australian career market for Indian migrants and students.

Dr. Naresh Bhatt ( Ph.D., Sanskrit) is a well travelled and experienced speaker on a variety of subjects including Hindu Scriptures, Yoga, Indian Culture and Literature. He is a retired lecturer and journalist and now spends time travelling the world and lecturing. He is the editor of a monthly on Vedas, 'Ved-Masik' and is an active volunteer in many social and cultural organisations in Gujarat.
