Dr. Himanshi Shelat, an acclaimed writer speaks to Aradhana about the special bond between mother and daughter, in a special interview to mark Mother's Day. Dr Shelat's 'Pahelo Akshar' a compilation of celebrated daughters' reflections and memoirs of their celebrated mothers, is a unique work that includes writers of Indian as well as Western backgrounds.

At 75, Purushottam Upadhyay looks and sings with an unmatched youthful exhuberance. 2010 marks his Amrut Mahotsav, the release of his pictorial biography 'Surottam Purushottam' published by Image Publications on 4th February, and the Avinash Vyas Award conferred to him for his lifetime contribution to Gujarati Sugam sangeet on 16th February at 'Samanvay' in Ahmedabad. Aradhana caught up with the maestro on this occassion.
